THEIR WHITENESS
by
Kelvin M. Knight
He pirouetted through oceanic whiteness, leaving ripples of himself. Drifting through these, she gasped at the softness of his touch. A touch bursting with promise: that dance he’d promised her but she’d always been too busy to accept. Back then. Back there. Where cares were weighty. Where duty outweighed sin. Where their love went unrecognised. Because of him. Because of her. Shuddering, she delighted as his essence entwined with hers. Him. Always him. Her true love. Her guiding light. He was dancing with her. Finally. Thankfully. Swishing skyward, they stirred this whiteness into a paradise that had always been theirs.

Yes indeed. Yes indeed. It is interesting you heard music, no? 😉
I did too for that matter, while a writing. And not because I had the radio on. I try not to have any distractions while writing.

Take it easy, my friend. Enjoy your current heatwave.Do I need to send any ice cubes your way?? What a difference from the firewood a few weeks ago.

No need for the ice cubes, Geelong always cools down a couple of days later. Have been putting shelves in my office/bedroom, and a speaker 🔊 shelf under my verandah, now Ivor’s got his music outside and inside. 😊 😊 I’ll take some pic’s and email them to you. 😆

You draw an alluring picture, Kelvin. A picture of whiteness and brightness. A picture of the time after death, when she and he have been set free from partnerships that are not completely fulfilling, at last able to express things that were previously prohibited by their marriage vows. A picture of dancing and delight in paradise.

A wonderful precis, Penny, as always. Your ability to breaking stories down into their constituent parts and objectively clarify them speaks volumes for your abilities as a writer.

Awwww, that was just beautiful. Reminded me of my first husband…really. We we “that” happy together. Some times it seems like only yesterday when we were dancing together around the fire, tethered to each other by only a strap of leather. Touching, yet not. Oh, such a joyful memory. Thanks!
